沖縄ジュゴンの訴訟に関し、国防省が連邦地裁にリクエストした第一審最終判決の内容に、辺野古基地建設がジュゴンに及ぼす危険性については、国防省は日本政府の環境影響評価を情報源の１つとして使用する、というような部分がある。ちなみに第一審最終判決はまだ出ていない。
